Research Title: Deep-Learning Guided Design of Synthetic Wound-Responsive Promoters
Wound-responsive DNA elements are gaining attention for gene therapy by sensing injury and controlling desired gene expression rapidly, but they are difficult to discover endogenously. To overcome this limitation, Jeongwoong proposes a workflow to train a sequence-to-expression model that can predict transcriptional wound response with DNA sequences and use it to guide the generation of optimized synthetic sequences as wound-responsive promoters.
